How do we collect information from you?
We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. When you make a purchase through the site, you will have given us your name, email address, home and delivery address and phone numbers. This information is the only way we can process your order and be able to notify you of your order’s status. We do not receive any of your debit/credit card details as this is processed through our payment partners either Square or PayPal, depending on how you paid for your order.
How we use your personal information?
We use the information that we collect generally to fulfill any orders placed through the site. We also use this order information to communicate with you; screen our orders for potential risk or fraud and to provide you with information regarding our advertising, products or services.
We will not bombard you with emails that you do not want. If you requested to be added to our mailing list, we will offer you what we hope to be a useful service. If however, you do not want to be contacted further let us know and we will remove you from our mailing list.
We do not exchange, sell or otherwise give away your email address or any other details to other companies without your expressed permission (except for shipping details – see below).
Who else receives your information?
We may have to disclose your contact and delivery information to our service suppliers to complete your order. This generally is the UK Royal Mail for the delivery of your goods. This company is not allowed to use this information for any purpose other than to complete the delivery of your order. They may not disclose this information to others, nor may they use it for any marketing purposes. When you give us your personal information you consent to this disclosure and allow us to make our service available to you.
Security is a major concern of customers who want to purchase online and it is a concern which we take extremely seriously.
No credit card or financial information is held or stored on any of our websites or webservers. Your credit card details are transmitted to Square or PayPal, our merchant card providers, using secure encryption technology during the checkout phase of the transaction. Square/PayPal authorises the transaction and debits your account/credit card via your credit card provider. Neither Square or PayPal return any credit ratings, scoring or other financial information to us in any form.
Our website is hosted on the Godaddy platform. Godaddy provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Godaddy’s data storage, databases and the general Godaddy applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. All direct payment gateways offered by Godaddy and used by Jammy Thing adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
You may request that Jammy Thing delete all personal data that we hold on you at any time by emailing email@example.com.
