This website is owned and operated by Jammy Thing. Throughout the site, the terms ‘we’ ‘us’ and ‘our’ refer to Jammy Thing.
These Terms set forth the terms and conditions under which you may use our website and services as offered by us. This website offers visitors the opportunity to purchase and/or commission personalised, hand stamped vintage cutlery and, from time to time, other various vintage items. In accessing or using the website, you approve that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
We receive orders via this website, by phone, social media or email using the contact methods published on our website or in other publicity materials. We reserve the right to refuse to accept orders or to require additional confirmation at our discretion.
We acknowledge receipt of your orders via an appropriate communication: For example, web-based orders are acknowledged automatically by email.
When buying an item, you agree that: (i) you are responsible for reading the full item listing before making a commitment to buy it (ii) you enter into a legally binding contract to purchase an item when you commit to buy an item and you complete the check-out payment process.
The prices we charge for using our services / for our products are listed on the website. We reserve the right to change our prices for products displayed at any time, and to correct pricing errors that may inadvertently occur. Additional information about pricing and sales tax is available on the payments page.
We endeavour to ensure that all published prices are correct, however, we reserve the right to change prices without notice and not to accept orders at prices that may have been quoted in error. Prices are quoted in pounds sterling.
Payment is accepted in pounds sterling by most major credit or debit cards as detailed on our web site at time of order.
All credit card payments made during online transactions are handled on our behalf by either Square or PayPal’s secure payment gateways and utilise secure encryption. No credit card details are processed or stored at any time on the Jammy Thing website.
We deliver to the UK only. International orders are not taken, unless previously agreed to prior to order confirmation.
We use Royal Mail to deliver orders within the UK and you will be advised of any charge at time of purchase where applicable.
If you choose to collect from Jammy Thing we will email you our address once we have received your order confirmation. Free collection is from RG22 (Basingstoke area).
On all standard deliveries please allow 2-5 days to receive your items once dispatched. We aim to dispatch all orders with 24 hours of receipt. Please note that at busy periods delivery times may increase.
We cannot accept responsibility for items if you leave instructions requesting said item to be left in a safe place and you fail to receive your parcel.
We aim to re-cycle packaging as much as possible in order to be as friendly as possible to the environment and to keep our charges down.
We hope that you love our products as much as we do. However, if you are not completely satisfied and would like to request a refund, please read the following information.
No refund will be given to personalised items UNLESS a spelling mistake has been made or there has been incorrect copying of the customers' specific request, by Jammy Thing.
If you have purchased a non-personalised item on the website, you can return any unused product ordered up to 14 days from the date of receipt of the products.
Please notify us by email to firstname.lastname@example.org within the 14 day period.
We will refund any payment that you have already made upon receipt of the returned item within 14 days. If you return products by post, please ensure you package and label them properly (ideally return them in the original packaging) so that they are not lost or damaged in transit.
We recommend you insure the item and retain some proof of postage in the event that the products go missing. The products remain your responsibility and property until we receive them. The cost of returning any goods is the responsibility of the customer and this cost will not be reimbursed by us as part of the refund process.
Please allow up to 5 working days for us to process your refund once we have received it. Your account will be credited within 14 working days of us receiving your items.
Product Variations and Cleaning
All measurements are approximate. All the cutlery is vintage and although the best items are chosen for sale some may show signs of wear. The items are silver plated or EPNS (electro plate nickel silver) and should not be washed in the dishwasher. They should be hand washed only, using hot water and washing up liquid. Silver plated or EPNS items will tarnish over time, this can be cleaned with a proprietary cleaning product.
We aim to deal with any complaints in a fair and timely manner. Any complaints should be emailed to email@example.com.
Customers and other users of this web site agree to indemnify the company against any claims, direct, indirect or consequential damage, loss or expense that may be caused as a direct or indirect result of the use of this web site and any information or computer software contained therein or by your access to other web sites as a result of links from this site. We make every effort to ensure that this web site does not contain any computer viruses but cannot guarantee this or warrant that it is virus-free.
Any dispute arising out of, or in connection with, any contract between the company and the buyer shall be governed by English Law and the buyer accepts the jurisdiction of the English courts.
